We all know that great works of literature have been translated into other languages around the world, but how often do we talk about the creative process of actually giving these works new life through translation, or of adapting fiction or nonfiction for the stage, screen or short film? Join us for an intimate conversation around creativity, vision, adaptation—and how the essence, intent and magic of our narratives can be interpreted through myriad translations. This panel will feature Cheryl Foggo, Gilles Mossiere, Fred Stenson, Gisèle Villeneuve in conversation with Susan Ouriou, and is presented by the Writers’ Guild of Alberta (WGA), Literary Translators’ Association of Canada (LTAC) and RAFA (Regroupement Artistique Francophone de L’Alberta)
