The 2018/19 board of the WGA will be elected at the AGM in conjunction with the WGA Annual Conference 2018: Refining Our Narratives on Sunday, June 3, 2017, 11:15 am - 12:30 pm, at Memorial Park Library, 2nd Floor Performance Space in Calgary. There will be at least two openings, including President, Vice President, Secretary, Member at Large, and Youth Member at Large.
Written nominations for the Board of Directors may be made in advance of the AGM, signed by the candidate and two members of the WGA who are in good standing, submitted by email to mail@writersguild.ca by May 6. Additionally, nominations and seconding motions may be put forth at the AGM by WGA members who are in good standing with the consent of the nominee.

Financial, Government Relations, Legal, Public Relations/Marketing, and Accounting/Insurance would be considered an asset to help expand the Board’s skills and knowledge base.
